HOW CAN I HELP YOU?
If you are an actor, I can help with script work; audition prep; self tapes; pre-rehearsal prep and ongoing rehearsal work; refresher sessions.
If you are production and looking to work with neurodivergent or learning disabled actors I can help with:
-
ARTISITIC EXCELLENCE. Empowering the actor to find their best work.
-
EASE. Making the creative process as smooth as possible for everyone involved.
-
TRUST. Developing safe, confident and deeply creative relationships both in and out of character.
-
INCLUSION. Facilitating relationships where all parties have agency, and all are heard.
-
SAFETY AND WELL-BEING. Being aware of the bigger picture and remaining mindful of the physical and emotional well-being of all those I work with.
DAY-to-DAY WORK INCLUDES
Acting technique, body and voice, script reading, research, rehearsal groundwork, stagecraft, acting for screen, social confidence and integration, clarification of information, enabling the right conditions to process information, embedding information, safeguarding emotional and physical wellbeing, note-taking, endorsement and exploration of direction, advocating for the actor’s needs, troubleshooting.
ONE TO ONE WITH THE ACTOR
-
PERFORMANCE. Together we explore the artistic vision of the director, taking time to process, understand and embed the given direction.
-
CREATIVE RISK. The actor and I work towards creative risk taking; finding ways to extend their emotional range and feeling confident enough to share their lived experience.
-
TRUST. I encourage the actor to find their voice in order to contribute fully in the artistic process.
-
CONFIDENCE. I am the actor's 'outside eye' keeping the work confident, on point, and driven by their own artistic integrity.
-
EMPOWERMENT. I encourage agency and empowerment. Both are key to confidence. Confidence is key to creative excellence.
